The isolation declared in all villages in the Kalutara district have been lifted, barring one village, from today.
The National Operations Centre for the Prevention of COVID-19 (NOCPC) said that the Badugama New Colony village in Mathugama will remain as an isolated area until further notice.
The isolation declared to all other villages in the Kalutara district will be lifted with immediate effect, the NOCPC said.
A number of areas in the Kalutara District were closed off on Wednesday (21) to prevent the spread of the coronavirus.
Meanwhile, Head of the Centre Army Commander Lieutenant General Shavendra Silva yesterday said that the quarantine curfew imposed in many areas in the country due to the coronavirus outbreak may be lifted in some Police areas in the future, depending on the number of patients being detected in the coming days.
