UNF leaders fail to reach agreement at talks

United National Front (UNF) party leaders failed to reach a final agreement at talks held today.

UNF leaders met with United National Party (UNP) leader Ranil Wickremesinghe today.

However, the talks ended with no final agreement being reached on key issues.

UNF leaders were expected to sign an agreement before the end of this month.

However the UNF leaders have been calling on the UNP to pick its Presidential candidate so the alliance members of the UNF can decide if they will support the candidate.

The UNP has however failed to agree on its Presidential candidate.

UPFA gets most number of votes in Ratnapura

The United People’s Freedom Alliance (UPFA)?got the most number of votes in the Ratnapura?District and secured 6 seats during the 2015 Parliamentary election.
