SLPP denies giving nominations to racist campaigners

The Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) has denied reports it has given nominations to two?racist campaigners.

SLPP said that the?nominations board has not yet begun accepting applications nor have they made a final decision on the candidates.

“We categorically deny reports fueled by the @officialunp stating that nominations were given to Dan Priyasad and Amith Weerasinghe from the SLPP. The nomination board has not yet begun accepting applications nor have they made a final decision on the candidates,” SLPP tweeted.

SLPP?requested the public not to be duped by false claims geared towards tarnishing the popular name of Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa and the party. (Colombo Gazette)
