Two PTL officials remanded after failing to meet bail conditions

Perpetual Treasuries Limited (PTL) Chief Dealer Nuwan Salgado and the IT officer of the company Sachitra Devathanthri were arrested today and granted bail only to remanded after failing to meet the bail conditions.

They were arrested over the treasury bond scam but were later granted bail after being produced before the Fort Magistrate.

The Attorney General (AG) had informed court that the two suspects will appear in the case as state witnesses.

Nuwan Salgado and Sachitra Devathanthri were ordered released?on a surety bail of Rs 300,000 each.

However they had failed to meet the bail conditions and were ordered to be remanded. (Colombo Gazette)
