Healthcare workers lose exclusive right for fuel

Healthcare workers have lost the exclusive right for fuel granted to them for the next two days.

The Secretary to the Ministry of Health has issued a directive to defer the exclusive arrangement to supply fuel to healthcare workers for 48 hours.

The decision was taken in light of the prevailing situation in the country.

The Health Ministry said that a firm decision on resuming the exclusive arrangement to supply fuel to healthcare workers will be taken soon.

According to the Health Ministry, the current issues with regards to the fuel supply in the country will be assessed before a final decision is reached. (Colombo Gazette)
