Special operation to nab curfew violators

A special Police operation is to be launched to nab curfew violators around the country. Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) Ajith Rohana said that the Police operation will be conducted from 6PM this evening (Monday) to 6PM tomorrow (Tuesday). Number of coronavirus patients detected in Sri Lanka rises to 217

The number of coronavirus patients detected in Sri Lanka rose to 217 late this evening. The Health Promotion Bureau said that there are 154 active cases in Sri Lanka as of today (Monday) and seven deaths. As of today 56 patients have recovered and have been discharged from hospital. The Health Promotion Bureau said that there are 117 individuals suspected of contracting the coronavirus, who are receiving treatment in hospital. (Colombo Gazette)

Deshapriya counters allegations raised by Hoole

National Election Commission Chairman Mahinda Deshapriya has countered allegations raised by Commission member Prof. S. Ratnajeevan H. Hoole with regards to the upcoming Parliamentary election.
