Mahela tells Sports Minister no trust in current system

Former Sri Lanka cricket Mahela Jayawardena today tweeted a message to the Sports Minister saying he did not have any trust in the current system.

Jayawardena tweeted in response to reports the Sri Lanka Cricket selectors had requested Sports Minister?Faiszer Musthapha to appoint former greats Kumar Sangakkara, Mahela Jayawardena, Aravinda de Silva and Roshan Mahanama as consultants to the Sri Lanka Cricket board and also request the services of Muttiah Muralitharan as an advisor to the spin bowling department.

Mahela Jayawardena tweeted saying “With all due respect to the selectors & the sports minister i have spent 1 year in the cricket committee & 6 months in a special advisory committee & no recommendations were implemented. I don’t have any trust in the system. If any one wants to buy time please dont use us!” (Colombo Gazette)
