Dilshan’s attempt to enter Parliament no-balled

The attempt by former Sri Lanka cricket captain T.M Dilshan to enter Parliament failed as voters no-balled him at the 2024 Parliament Election.

Dilshan contested the election from the Kalutara District through the United Democratic Voice.

However the United Democratic Voice did not secure a single seat in Parliament from Kalutara.

Dilshan had been appointed as the national organizer of the new party launched by former MP Ranjan Ramanayake.

Dilshan entered politics in 2018 and extended support to the??Sri Lanka?Podujana Peramuna (SLPP).

Dilshan also obtained the membership of the SLPP in 2018.

At the last Presidential Election Dilshan decided to bat for the Samagi Jana Balawegaya led by Sajith Premadasa. (Colombo Gazette)

SriLankan suspends employees engaged in visa fraud

SriLankan Airlines says it has suspends a group of employees engaged in visa fraud. The four SriLankan employees have been arrested after being accused of engaging in visa fraud.
