Sri Lanka and Türkiye Explore Enhanced Tourism Cooperation

Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Employment of Sri Lanka, Arun Hemachandra, met with the Deputy Minister of Culture and Tourism of Türkiye, Dr. Serdar Çam in Ankara on 27 October 2026.

The discussions focused on strengthening bilateral cooperation in tourism sector, promoting Sri Lanka as an attractive destination for Turkish travellers and exploring opportunities for greater collaboration in tourism promotion, cultural exchanges and tourism-sector development.

The meeting highlighted the potential for expanding tourism linkages and strengthening people-to-people relations between the two countries.
