Janashakthi Life Secures Place Among Sri Lanka’s Top 75 Most Respected Entities

Janashakthi Life has been placed 75th in LMD’s 2026 Most Respected Entities ranking, according to a release issued on behalf of the insurer.

The company said the ranking followed a study conducted by PepperCube Consultants with LMD during March and April.

According to the release, the survey gathered the perceptions of 600 managerial and senior-level respondents from organisations represented in the Colombo Stock Exchange, LMD 100 and Brands Annual 2025.

Janashakthi Life also reported separate placements across several attributes assessed by the study.

These included 26th for leadership profile, 27th for financial performance, 38th for corporate dynamism, 47th for aspirational workplace and 51st for employee wellbeing.

Director and chief executive Ravi Liyanage said the overall recognition marked a milestone for the company and encouraged it to continue developing its products and services.

He linked the company’s approach to meeting policyholders’ requirements and creating value for other stakeholders.

Chief business officer Namalee A. Silva said the business sought to build trust through customer service, relevant insurance products and continuing relationships with policyholders.

The release also outlined several insurance initiatives introduced during the company’s operations. These included pandemic-related cover, products for people diagnosed with HIV, cover for members of the armed forces and eligibility extending to older customers.

Janashakthi Life said its wider activities included the Shilpa Shakthi scholarship programme for Grade 5 students, support for school cricket and employee development.

The insurer also cited recognition from other brand and workplace rankings.

Janashakthi Life is part of JXG, also known as Janashakthi Group. According to its company profile, it began operations in 1994 and serves customers through a network of more than 76 branches.

The announcement presents the LMD result as recognition of the company’s standing among the surveyed corporate respondents.
