Canada and Sri Lanka have discussed and agreed in principle to have a fully-fledged Code Share Agreement, the Sri Lankan High Commission in Canada said. The discussion took place on the sidelines of the 39th tri-annual Assembly of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) which was held in Montreal, Canada. Lankan asylum seeker wanted to ‘suicide bomb’ a UK train

A Sri Lankan arrested in the UK in April this year had?wanted to ‘suicide bomb’ a train. He was however calmly told by a worker at the time that he couldn’t get on the train without a ticket, the Daily Mail reported. Chinese woman killed while taking selfie on train

A Chinese woman was killed while taking a selfie on a train in Ambalangoda this morning. The police said the 25 year old woman was thrown out of the train when she was taking a selfie on the foot-board of the train using her mobile phone. The woman was taken to hospital but had succumbed to her injuries. The Ambalangoda police are conducting investigations. (Colombo Gazette)
