Indictments served against Namal in Krrish case

Indictments were served on MP Namal Rajapaksa in connection to allegations linked to the Krrish project in Colombo.

The indictments were served by the Colombo High Court on Tuesday.

The Attorney General had earlier filed indictments against Rajapaksa accusing him of misappropriating Rs. 70 million over the deal.

Rajapaksa was arrested in 2016 after being accused of receiving funds from the Indian company, Krrish group, but was later released on bail.

He appeared in court after being named as a suspect in the case following investigations launched by the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption (CIABOC). (Colombo Gazette)
