Notorious Sri Lankan drug dealer and wife sentenced to 8-years in jail

Notorious Sri Lankan drug kingpin Samantha Kumara alias ?Wele Suda? and his wife have been sentenced to 8-years in jail.

They were sentenced after being found guilty by the Colombo High Court under the Money Laundering Act, for amassing illegal assets through drug dealings.

Another woman was also sentenced together with Wele Suda and his wife.

All the assets acquired through drug dealings have also been ordered to be confiscated. (Colombo Gazette)
