CERT warns of Google doc phishing scam targeting Sri Lankans

The National Centre for Cyber Security has warned of a Google doc phishing scam targeting Sri Lankans. The Sri Lanka Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT) said that the phishing scam is being circulated using WhatsApp. The scam is being sent claiming it is from the Credit Information Bureau under the title ‘Naya Sahana 2020’. CERT says the Google doc phishing scam targets bank account information of Sri Lankans. The public have been warned not to divulge their bank details on the document.

Ninety-five Navy personnel of Welisara camp infected

Ninety-five Navy personnel are reported to have been infected with COVID-19 in Sri Lanka as of today. Army Commander Lieutenant General Shavendra Silva said among the infected officers, 68 are from the Navy Camp in Welisara and 27 are officers from the camp who had gone on leave.
