Harin approves appointment of Charith Asalanka as new Sri Lanka ODI captain

Sports Minister Harin Fernando has approved the appointment of Charith Asalanka as the new captain of the Sri Lanka ODI cricket team.

The Sri Lanka Cricket Selection Committee picked a 16-member squad to play in the ODI series of the ongoing Indian tour of Sri Lanka.

The Sri Lanka cricket board said that the Minister of Sports and Youth Affairs, Harin Fernando, approved the squad.

The three match ODI series will be played on the 2nd, 4th and 7th of August 2024 at the Premadasa Stadium in Colombo. (Colombo Gazette)
