SLMC to contest alone

The Sri Lanka Muslim Congress (SLMC) led by Minister Rauf Hakeem, has decided to contest the elections for the North, North Western and Central provinces independently and not with the government. Human smugglers arrested

The police have arrested three human smugglers in Matara and also recovered money they had obtained to send people to Australia by boat. Investigations had revealed that the three men had, earlier this month, sent 68 people to Australia on a multi-day trawler.
