Over 200 troops involved in rescue ops

Over 200 members of the Army serving in Kandy were involved in the operation to rescue 455?students of the Sri Jayawardenapura and Jaffna universities?who went missing in the Hantana mountains in Peradeniya. Nine dead, over 3000 displaced

Nine people have been killed and over 3000 displaced following the adverse weather conditions over the island during the past two days, the?Disaster?Management?Center (DMC) said today.
