Saman Ekanayake replaces Senarath as Secretary to the President

Saman Ekanayake has replaced Gamini Senarath as the new Secretary to the President.

President Ranil Wickremesinghe appointed Saman Ekanayake to the post.

Ekanayake previously served as the Secretary to the Prime Minister when Wickremesinghe was the Prime Minister.

Gamini Senarath was appointed as the Secretary to the President in January this year. (Colombo Gazette)

Dambulla accident kills brother and sister

An accident in Dambulla killed a girl and her brother while the parents sustained injuries. The Police said that a three-wheeler and a van were involved in the accident. A 20 year old girl and her 5 year old brother were killed in the accident. They were travelling in the three-wheeler with their parents at the time of the accident.
