MR’s visit to China to boost ties

Father kills son, commits suicide

A man threw his son into a well and later?committed?suicide in Tissamaharama this evening, the police said. The police said that the 50 year old man first threw his 5 year old son in the well and then jumped in. The incident took place in Yodawewa,?Tissamaharama and both bodies have been recovered. The police said that an illicit affair his wife was having with another man had led to the incident. Police investigations are underway. (Colombo Gazette)
