EC informs court polls cannot be held on 20 June

The National Elections Commission (EC) has informed the Supreme Court that the Parliamentary election cannot be held on 20 June. Lawyer Saliya Peries (PC) appearing for the Election Commission submitted to the court that as of now the Election Commission feels that the General Election cannot be held on 20th June. FBI hunts for Sri Lankan-born American wanted for rape of minor

The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) is hunting for a Sri Lankan born American wanted over the rape of a minor. Chaminda Prabhath Palliyaguru is wanted for his alleged rape of a six-year-old victim on March 7, 2020, in Franklin County, Ohio.
