Chamal Rajapaksa appointed State Minister of Internal Security

Former Minister and former Speaker Chamal Rajapaksa was appointed as the State Minister of Internal Security today.

He oaths in the presence of President Gotabaya Rajapaksa and Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa in Kandy today.

Chamal Rajapaksa was also appointed as a cabinet Minister.

He was appointed as the cabinet Minister of Irrigation apart from his State Minister portfolio.

Also appointed State Minister is his son Shasheendra Rajapaksa.

The new Government consisting of cabinet Ministers and State Ministers took oaths at a ceremony held in Kandy today.

The cabinet took oaths in the presence of President Gotabaya Rajapaksa and Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa.?(Colombo Gazette)

SLFP insists no rift with UPFA, will contest together

The Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP) today insisted that there was no rift with the United People’s Freedom Alliance (UPFA) and said that they will contest the Parliament election together.
