Another person has been shot dead in Ambalangoda, the Police said. Earlier a man was shot dead in Panadura as well. The shooting in Panadura took place in the Pinwatta area. The Police said that the victim was travelling in a car when he was shot dead.?(Colombo Gazette)

Policy decision taken to switch to nuclear energy

Sri Lanka has taken a policy decision to switch to nuclear energy, Cabinet Spokesman Bandula Gunawardena said. India wants Sri Lanka to investigate reports of attacks on Indian fishermen.
