Hotline introduced to inquire on essential services

A 24-hour hotline has been introduced for the public to make inquiries with regard to essential services.

The public have been informed to contact the hotline 1965 to inquire about essential services that are in operation during the islandwide travel ban.

An islandwide travel restriction has been enforced from 21st -25th May in a bid to curtail the third wave of the coronavirus rapidly spreading in Sri Lanka.

The Government has permitted only essential services to operate during this period.

The public who require information pertaining to essential services may contact the toll-free hotline for their inquiries.

They can also register their various concerns and issues faced with regard to the essential services via the hotline.

The hotline will be coordinated by Temple Trees and the Presidential task force. (Colombo Gazette)

Government asserts no decision to increase fuel prices

The Government today asserted a decision has not been taken to increase the price of fuel.
