More areas in Sri Lanka placed under isolation

More areas in Sri Lanka have been placed under isolation to contain the spread of the coronavirus.

The Government said that the Siriketha Grama Niladhari Division (GN) in Hingurakgoda and Pallekumbura Grama Niladhari (GN) Division in Ukuwela, Matale have been placed under isolation from today (Tuesday).

A number of areas in Gampaha, Kalutara, Galle and Trincomalee were isolated yesterday as well.

The Imbulagoda and Katudampe Grama Niladhari (GN) divisions in the Rathgama Police are in Galle were isolated yesterday.

The Polhena, Heeralugedara and Kaluggala Grama Niladhari (GN) divisions in the Kotadeniyawa police area in the Gampaha district were also isolated.

Minuwagoda in the Aswennawatta GN division in Gampaha was also isolated yesterday.

In Kalutara, the Miriswatta GN division, Pelenwatta North and East GN divisions were isolated.

The Pumpuhar GN division Trincomalee and the Dambulla dedicated economic centre were also isolated yesterday. (Colombo Gazette)
