IMF reaches agreement on third review of funding for Sri Lanka

The International Monetary Fund (IMF) says it has reached a staff-level agreement with the Sri Lankan authorities on the third review under an economic reform program supported by a?three-year Extended Fund Facility (EFF) arrangement, subject to the completion of a prior action by the authorities and the approval of the IMF Executive Board. Political prisoner issue raised in Parliament as students begin fast

The issue over Tamil political prisoners was raised in Parliament today as Jaffna university students began a hunger strike over the issue.
