Isolation status enforced in a number of areas in Colombo lifted

The isolation status enforced in a number of areas in the Colombo District will be lifted from tomorrow. Accordingly, the isolation status enforced in the Maradana, Keselwatta and Wellaweediya Police divisions will be lifted from 5am tomorrow (Monday). The isolation status enforced in the Wekanda Grama Niladhari Division and Hunupitiya in Slave Island will also be lifted. Public warned against providing refuge to Covid patients

The public have been warned action will be taken against those aiding and providing refuge to Covid infected persons who escape from treatment facilities or self-isolation. Police Spokesman, Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Ajith Rohana said legal action will be taken against such individuals under the Quarantine Law. More areas isolated with immediate effect

A number of areas have been placed under isolation with immediate effect. The Government said that Minnana, Wilegoda, Yakudagoda, Asgagula North and Bopaththa in the Eheliyagoda Assistant Government Agents (AGA) Division have been isolated with immediate efect.
