Eleven more coronavirus patients detected

Eleven more persons infected with COVID-19 were detected in Sri Lanka today.

The Ministry of Health said all 11 infected patients are from Beruwala and have been placed in quarantine centers.

The Ministry said the newly detected patients raise the number of confirmed coronavirus cases in Sri Lanka to 321.

A total of 210 persons have been reported as active cases among the infected patients.

Meanwhile, 148 persons are admitted to various hospitals on suspicion of having contracted the virus.

The Ministry of Health said 104 patients, including 103 Sri Lankans and one Chinese woman, have recovered so far and have been discharged from hospital.

Seven deaths due to COVID-19 have been reported so far in Sri Lanka. (Colombo Gazette)
