Second term of schools to begin on May 11th

The second term of all schools will begin on 11th May, the President’s Media Division (PMD) said today.

Schools were closed early as a result of the spread of the coronavirus.

The second school term was set to begin on 20 April but has been postponed in order to help the authorities contain the spread of the coronavirus.

The President’s Media Division said that the university administration and the University Grants Commission (UGC) will discuss and decide on resuming academic activities at local universities. (Colombo Gazette)

At least 8 dead in mass shooting in Germany
