Police fire tear gas on IUSF protest near Education Ministry

The Police fired tear gas on a protest by the Inter University Student’s Federation (IUSF) near the Education Ministry in Battaramulla. The students marched towards the Isurupaya building where the Education Ministry is located. The Police fired tear gas after the students pulled down the front gate of the Ministry building. Parliament informed about Basil’s resignation

Parliament was today informed about the resignation of former Finance Minister Basil Rajapaksa. Secretary General of Parliament Dhammika Dasanayake read the resignation letter submitted by Basil Rajapaksa to Parliament.
