Fresh relief package announced to assist public

A fresh relief package was announced today to assist the public affected by the coronavirus pandemic in Sri Lanka.

The President’s Office said that financial and other forms of relief has been approved by President Gotabaya Rajapaksa.

The relief package includes assistance to three-wheel drivers, school van drivers and others who earn a living operating their motor vehicles.

Yoshitha suspended from Navy to assist FCID probe

Yoshitha Rajapaksa, the son of former President Mahinda Rajapaksa has been suspended from the Navy to assist the investigations being conducted by the police Financial Crimes Investigations Division (FCID).
