Number of coronavirus patients in Sri Lanka reaches 100

The number of coronavirus patients in Sri Lanka has reached 100, the Health Ministry said.

According to the Health Ministry, 3 new patients were detected by this afternoon.

That took the total number of patients detected in Sri Lanka to 100.

It said that 229 patients are under observation in hospitals across the country on suspicion of having contracted the virus.

The Health Ministry also said that 2 patients who were initially infected with the virus, a Chinese woman and a 52 year -old Sri Lankan tour guide, have successfully recovered and have been discharged from hospital.?(Colombo Gazette)

Soldier stabbed to death inside guard post

A soldier was stabbed to death inside a guard post at the?Ambepussa Army Camp while he was on duty today. The soldier was on duty at the post when he was killed. The soldier was identified as a 21 year old resident of Kegalle. Investigations are underway. (Colombo Gazette)
