Sri Lankans not affected by earthquake in Iran, Iraq

Sri Lankans have not been affected by the deadly earthquake in Iran and Iraq, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said. According to the Foreign Ministry, the Sri Lanka Missions in Tehran and Baghdad have confirmed that no Sri Lankans are reported as affected by the earthquake in Iran-Iraq. “The Missions remain alert and in contact with local authorities,” the Foreign Ministry said. State medical students to finally return to lectures

State medical students have decided to finally return to lectures from this month. The Convener of the Medical Faculty Student?s Action Committee (MFSAC) Ryan Jayalath said that the medical students who had been boycotting lectures over the SAITM issue, will return to their classes on November 20.
