Ranil travels North and assures development, employment

United National Front leader, Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe traveled to the North today where he met various groups and assured the development of the Province.
At a meeting with a group of young women and business community in Vavuniya the Prime Minister said that for the development of the Province to be expedited New Democratic Front Presidential candidate Sajith Premadasa must be elected President.
He said that the only political party which has the commitment and strength to address the issues of the war affected Tamils is the United National Party.
The Prime Minister said that the opening of the Jaffna International Airport and the development of tourist hotels in the North will pave the way for more employment opportunities.
He also said that steps are being taken to establish new economic zones in Mannar and other parts of the North.
The Prime Minister said that by developing the North the Government hopes to uplift the living conditions of the public in the North. (Colombo Gazette)
