US envoy holds talks with President Rajapaksa

The US Ambassador to Sri Lanka, Alaina B. Teplitz, met President Gotabaya Rajapaksa today. The President’s office said that officials from the US Embassy in Colombo accompanied the Ambassador at the meeting. Fire destroys chemical products store in Angulana

A major fire destroyed a chemical products store in Angulana, Katubedda today. The Fire Brigade said that 15 fire engines had been deployed to extinguish the fire. The Air Force had also assisted the Fire Brigade in the operation.

Tamil street name boards have been found vandalised at multiple locations in the country. The Tamil name boards have been damaged or removed by unidentified persons following the Presidential election.
