Sri Lanka bomber’s mother and sister ‘co-operating fully’ with NZ Police

The Auckland-based mother and sister of one of the Sri Lankan Easter Sunday suicide bombers have been “co-operating fully” with New Zealand Police following the attacks that killed 257 people, the New Zealand Herald reported. Abdul Lathief Jameel Mohamed was one of the terrorist bombers involved in the Easter Sunday attacks who attempted to blow up the luxury Taj Samudra hotel in the Sri Lankan capital Colombo. Lathief’s mother and sister are living in New Zealand.

Strong objections to decision to increase port tariffs

The private sector has strongly oppose a unilateral decision taken by the Sri Lanka Ports Authority (SLPA) to increase port tariffs. Equipment used to prepare letters against President found in Ministry

Equipment allegedly used to prepare defamatory letters against President Maithripala Sirisena and incite hate among communities have been found at an office of a Government Ministry.
