Sri Lanka records its 20th coronavirus death

Sri Lanka has recorded its 20th coronavirus related death, the Government Information Department said today. The Government Information Department said that a PCR test on a patient who died at the Colombo National Hospital yesterday has confirmed that the patient had the coronavirus. The 54-year-old woman had been admitted to hospital on 29th October after suffering from an illness. Air pollution in Sri Lanka records sharp increase

Air pollution in Sri Lanka has recorded a sharp increase, the National Building Research Organization (NBRO) said. The NBRO said that there has been a significant increase in air pollution, particularly in Colombo, Kandy, Puttalam, Vavuniya and Jaffna. The Air Quality Unit of the NBRO said it is monitoring the situation and intends to gather more information in this regard. State institutions in Western Province told to implement ‘work from home’ system

State institutions in the Western Province have been told to implement the ‘work from home’ system. The Presidential Secretariat has issued a circular to State institutions to implement the ‘work from home’ system in order to control the spread of the coronavirus.
