Wigneswaran splits from TNA to form his own alliance

Northern Province Chief Minister C.V. Wigneswaran today split from the Tamil National Alliance (TNA) and announced plans to form a new Tamil political alliance. Education services in Kilinochchi rated very poor

Estate workers continue to demand Rs. 1000

Estate workers continued to protest today demanding a daily wage of Rs. 1000. Protests were staged in many parts of the hill country as a solution has not yet been reached.
