Sri Lanka and China discuss expansion of bilateral relations

Sri Lanka and China have had talks where it was proposed to expand bilateral relations.

The talks took place between Sri Lanka’s?High Commissioner to India Austin Fernando and China’s Ambassador to India?Luo Zhaohui.

The Sri Lankan High Commission in India said that High Commissioner Austin Fernando paid a courtesy call on Luo Zhaohui.

The High Commission said that during the meeting, the two dignitaries discussed on the avenues for cooperation and expansion of bilateral relations between the two countries. (Colombo Gazette)

China awards scholarships to 24 Sri Lankan students

China today awarded scholarships to 24 Sri Lankan students, at a ceremony held at the Chinese Embassy in Colombo. The Chinese Ambassador to Sri Lanka, Cheng Xueyuan handed over the scholarships. Madhawa Dewasurendra, Additional Secretary of Ministry of Higher Education, and Amb. Revised land deed for Colombo Port City handed over to China

The revised Colombo Port City land deed was handed over to China in the presence of President Maithripala Sirisena and Chinese Ambassador Cheng Xueyuan at the Presidential Secretariat today (October 29).
