Sri Lanka is to receive another 4 million doses of the Sinopharm vaccine next week. The Sri Lanka Embassy in Beijing said that arrangements are being made to airfreight the consignment between 04-08 August 2021. This is the largest quantity of vaccines that Sri Lanka has been able to procure in one consignment. China deploys over 20,000 test kits to Sri Lanka

China has deployed over 20,000 test kits to Sri Lanka to help fight the coronavirus. The Chinese Embassy in Sri Lanka tweeted saying 20,064 test kits donated by Jack Ma, a Chinese business magnate, is scheduled to arrive in Sri Lanka tonight (Friday). The embassy said that the consignment is worth USD 130, 000. The 20,064 will arrive from Shanghai and will be donated to the Health Ministry in Sri Lanka.
