Hakeem calls for urgent Cabinet meeting

Leader of Sri Lanka Muslim Congress (SLMC) and Minister of Justice, Rauff Hakeem, has requested President Mahinda Rajapakse to convene a cabinet meeting to discuss the rising religious unrest and civil disturbance in the country. Six arrested over Pepiliyana attack (Updated)

Six suspects have been arrested over the attack on the Fashion Bug warehouse at Pepiliyana, the government information department said today quoting?the police. Mob attack on TNA meeting

A mob attacked a Tamil National Alliance (TNA) meeting in Killinochchi today, TNA MP E. Sarawanabavan said. The MP said that over 50 people with stones and poles in their hands attacked the premises while several leading TNA MPs were present. He said that TNA MPs S.
