Customs bust lobster racket

The Customs department busted a racket involving the exporting of lobsters to Vietnam from Sri Lanka. Customs spokesman Leslie Gamini said that a raid was carried out at a location in Negombo yesterday after information was received about the racket. The customs officers found 8 boxes with lobsters. In all there were 669 lobsters ready to be experted illegally to Vietnam. Two killed in Pilimathalawa accident

Two people were killed following an accident in?Pilimathalawa today, the police media unit said. The police said that the accident took place when a car crashed into a bus along the Colombo – Kandy road.
