Electricity tariffs increased by 66 percent from today

Electricity tariffs have been increased by 66 percent from today, the Ceylon Electricity Board said. Uncertainty remains over LG polls

Uncertainty remains over the Local Government (LG) elections scheduled for 9th March with the Department of Government Printing saying it is yet to receive the funds to print the ballot papers. The Department of Government Printing said that it has received only part of the funds and cannot complete the process.
