Speaker Karu Jayasuriya does not expect another constitutional crisis like that what occurred on 26 October 2018. There have been reports circulating that the Speaker is prepared to resign if another constitutional crisis occurs. However, the Speaker’s office said that Jayasuriya had not made any comment to that effect. Karnataka’s Malpe on alert for terrorists from Sri Lanka

The Coastal Security Police in coastal Malpe in Karnataka has issued a public notice asking people to be on alert in view of intelligence reports about infiltration?of six Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorists into neighbouring Tamil Nadu from Sri Lanka. Father kills kids and commits suicide

A man in Puttalam poisoned his two children and later committed suicide by hanging himself, the Police said. The Police said that the 31-year-old man killed his two sons, aged 13 and 07 years by giving them poison. He had later hanged himself and died. Investigations are underway.
