Weather to see temporary improvement tomorrow

The weather is expected to see a temporary improvement in the south-western part of the island tomorrow.

However cloudy conditions are expected to continue further and fairly strong winds can be expected over the island and surrounding sea areas during next few days, the Department of Meteorology said.

Showers or thundershowers at times are expected in Western, Sabaragamuwa and Central provinces.

Several spells of showers will occur in the North-Western, North-Central?and Northern provinces and in Galle and Mathara districts.

Fairly heavy falls (about 50-75 mm) can be expected at some places (Particularly in Sabaragamuwa and Central provinces).

There may be temporary localized strong winds during thundershowers. (Colombo Gazette)
