Fuel price formula scrapped, fuel price reduced

The Government today reduced the price of fuel and also announced that the existing fuel price formula had been scrapped. UNP does not see Chinese hand in political crisis

The United National Party (UNP) says it does not see a Chinese hand in the political crisis in the country. UNP Parliamentarian Sarath Fonseka said that both the current and former Governments have had a close relationship with China. Susil says Parliament unlikely to meet on Monday

United People’s Freedom Alliance (UPFA) Parliamentarian Susil Premjayantha says Parliament is unlikely to meet on Monday.
