Two suspects shot dead by STF in Minuwangoda

Two suspects were shot dead by the Police Special Task Force (STF) in Minuwangoda. The Police claimed that the suspects were killed during an exchange of fire between the STF and the two individuals. According to the Police, the two suspects are accomplices of underworld figure ?Uragaha Indika?. The Police said that an STF officer was also injured in the incident. (Colombo Gazette)

Army Major among 3 killed in Galgamuwa accident

An Army Major was among three people killed in an accident in Galgamuwa, the Police said today. The Police said that the vehicle had crashed into a wall and a tree at Ihalagama in Galgamuwa. The Army Major was attached to the Gajaba Regiment in Saliyapura. He was among five people who were in the vehicle at the time of the accident. Two others who sustained injuries in the accident are receiving treatment in hospital. (Colombo Gazette)

Suspected human trafficking racket exposed
