Disaster Management Minister’s absence defended

The Government today defended the absence of?Disaster Management Minister Anura Priyadharshana Yapa in Sri Lanka at a time when the country was facing a major natural disaster.

Cabinet spokesman Dr. Rajitha Senaratne said that?Yapa was in Mexico for an international summit which he had departed for before the disaster.
