Attorney General Dappula de Livera has agreed to grant detained human rights activist Hejaaz Hizbullah access to his lawyers. Strict health guidelines issued for public transport

Navy detains 36 Indian fishermen poaching in Sri Lankan waters

The Sri Lanka Navy arrested 36 Indian fishermen today for poaching in Sri Lankan waters and seized five trawlers. The Sri Lanka Navy (SLN) said the apprehension was made following special operations carried out by the Sri Lanka Navy and Coast Guard in several sea areas of the island today.
