Sri Lankan teen commits suicide in Italy over love affair

A?Sri Lankan teen has committed suicide in Italy over a love affair, the Italian media reported.

The 16 year old boy in Vicenza had consumed some form of liquid after his parents had refused to allow him to have a relationship with?an Italian girl.

Reports stated that the parents of the young boy wanted him to have a relationship with someone from the same ethnicity as his family.

The boy was admitted to hospital but he was pronounced dead a few hours later. (Colombo Gazette)
