Construction of buildings on port city to begin next year

Construction work of the buildings on the port city?will begin next year, the Ministry of?Megapolis and Western Development said today.

Megapolis and Western Development Minister Patali Champika Ranawaka inspected the port city and had talks with officials on the ground.

The Minister said that filling of the sea for the port city is expected to be completed this year.

He said that 28 percent of filling has already been completed.

Namal Rajapaksa granted bail in Hello Corp case

Former President Mahinda Rajapaksa?s son Namal Rajapaksa, who was arrested last week?by the police Financial Crimes Investigations Division (FCID), was granted bail today. Rajapaksa was arrested after being questioned over shares he had acquired from Hello Corp. Namal Rajapaksa was arrested earlier this year as well but was later released on his bail.
